SUMMARY: The preliminary emphasis of this position is to handle upkeep activities of motorway assets and surrounding properties while working out independent judgment and marketing secure job practices.

VITAL DUTIES AND DUTIES:.

Handle upkeep tasks on the highway possessions to include preventative upkeep and repair.
Checks grievances on inspects and roads freeways to determine repair required.
Assists with procedures to maintain roadway right of means upkeep throughout emergency situations such as natural disasters and inclement weather.
Execute regular traffic manage features such as flagging and setting up work areas.
Operates a selection of medium duty devices consisting of tractors, bush hogs, along with some hydraulic tools and power devices.
Do physically demanding manual labor to include however, not limited to, street repair, cleaning and reshaping ditches, builting indicators, landscape design tasks, particles and litter control, and snow removal.
Adhere to all relevant State, Regional legislations, Federal OSHA requirements, and DOT policies; assist in maintaining a secure working setting in any way times.
Perform various other tasks as designated.

Ability to communicate efficiently both orally and in composing.
Ability to work in all weather problems.
Capacity to work weekends and evenings.
Have the ability to respond to all and any type of type of occurrence 24/7.
Readily available to work overtime as required.
Needs valid Virginia Motorist's Driver license and a DOT appropriate driving record whatsoever times which is subject to annual evaluation.
